VN-Index back above 800 points

All main indexes close higher on September 13.

All main indexes on Vietnam’s stock market finished in positive territory on September 13.

On HSX, the VN-Index increased 2.84 points (0.36 per cent) and the VN30-Index 3.89 points (0.38 per cent).

On HNX, the HNX-Index rose 0.71 points (0.68 per cent), the HNX30-Index 3.89 points (0.50 per cent), and the UPCoM-Index 0.06 points (0.10 per cent).

Liquidity on HSX reached VND3.5 trillion ($152.1 million), 4.6 per cent higher than yesterday, and on HNX was VND420.8 billion ($18.3 million), 2.2 per cent lower.

The VN-Index opened at 799.94 points and rose to 803.63 points before ending the morning at 801.66 points. It then closed the day at 802.78 points.

In food and beverages, TAC increased 2.1 per cent, KDC 0.2 per cent, and VNM 0.1 per cent, while TLG lost 3.8 per cent and VCF and BBC closed at their opening price.

In banking, VCI gained 3.4 per cent, EIB 2.5 per cent, MSN 1.6 per cent, SSI 1.4 per cent, and VPB and STB 0.4 per cent. BVH lost 0.4 per cent and CTG 0.3 per cent, while VCB, BID, and MBB closed at their opening price.

In energy, PVT rose 2.7 per cent, PVD 2.2 per cent, PLX 1.8 per cent, PPC 1.5 per cent, and GAS 0.9 per cent, while PGD lost 0.5 per cent.

In construction and real estate, ITA gained 3.3 per cent, DXG 2.3 per cent, HT1 2.2 per cent, CTD 1 per cent, and ROS 0.9 per cent, while QCG lost 3.9 per cent, VIC 2.4 per cent, and NVL 1.3 per cent.

The Top 5 shares bought by foreign investors were HPG (VND52.5 billion ($2.3 million)), PLX (VND45.6 billion ($2 million)), VCI (VND24.9 billion ($1.1 million)), CTD (VND13.9 billion ($604,347)), and PHR (VND6.7 billion ($291,304).

On HSX, NVL was the largest net sold share, with VND38.9 billion ($1.7 million), followed by ROS (VND23.5 billion ($1 million)), VNM (VND19.5 billion ($847,826)), VIC (VND17.7 billion ($769,565)), and BMP (VND17.6 billion ($765,217)).

PVS was the largest net sold share on HNX, with VND16.3 billion ($708,695), followed by TNG (VND2.4 billion ($104,347)), PVC (VND378.5 million ($16,456)), PVE (VND122.2 million ($5,313)), and TV2 (VND81.9 million ($3,560)).

On UPCoM, foreign investors bought 98,410 shares worth VND5.68 billion ($246,956).

They net sold on HSX by VND25.50 billion ($1.1 million) and on HNX by VND4.98 billion ($216,521).
