VN30-Index the only loser.

The VN-Index ended September 12 on HSX at 987.01 points, up 1.95 points (0.20 per cent), while the VN30-Index closed at 958.67 points, down 0.24 points (0.03 per cent).

On HNX, the HNX-Index finished at 111.65 points, up 0.22 points (0.20 per cent), the HNX30-Index 202.97 points, up 1.44 points (0.71 per cent), and the UPCoM-Index 51.46 points, virtually unchanged.

Liquidity on HSX was VND3.7 trillion ($158.9 million) and on HNX was VND724 billion ($31.1 million).

Food and beverage stocks to gain ground included VCF, VNM, KDC and BHN, by 0.7, 0.3, 0.3 and 0.1 per cent, as TAC lost 0.6 per cent and SAB 0.1 per cent. TLG and BBC closed at their opening price.

Losers in banking included CTG, TCB, SSI, MBB, VPB, BVH and EIB, by 1.7, 1.6, 1.6, 0.8, 0.7 and 0.7 per cent, as TPB closed at its opening price. MSN gained 0.1 per cent.

In energy, GAS gained 5.3 per cent, PVD 4.6 per cent, NT2 3 per cent, PLX 1.4 per cent and PVT 1.1 per cent as PGD and PPC closed at their opening price.

The Top 5 shares bought by foreign investors were GEX, VCB, VNM, HPG and DXG.

VJC was the largest net sold share on HSX, followed by NCT, BID, NVL and KBC.

VGC was the largest net sold share on HNX, followed by HAD, TNG, VCG and SHS.

On UPCoM, foreign investors bought 718,400 shares worth VND7.38 billion ($317,020).

They net bought on HSX by VND175 billion ($7.5 million) and on HNX by VND14.02 billion ($602,155).
