Most indexes close higher

Only VN30 and UPCoM lose ground on November 9.

Most main indexes on Vietnam’s stock market finished in positive territory on November 9.

On HSX, the VN-Index increased 0.70 points (0.08 per cent) while the VN30-Index lost 0.52 points (0.06 per cent).

On HNX, the HNX-Index rose 0.13 points (0.12 per cent) and the HNX30-Index 0.62 points (0.31 per cent), while the UPCoM-Index lost 0.16 points (0.30 per cent).

Liquidity on HSX reached VND3.6 trillion ($156.5 million), 7.6 per cent lower than yesterday, and on HNX was VND410.9 billion ($17.8 million), 9 per cent lower.

The VN-Index opened at 862.38 points and fell to 860.12 points before ending the morning at 864.19 points. It then closed the day at 860.40 points.

In food and beverages, VNM gained 1.4 per cent and TLG 0.2 per cent, while BBC lost 2 per cent, VCF 1 per cent, and KDC 0.8 per cent. TAC closed at its opening price.

In banking, SSI increased 1.3 per cent and BVH and VCI 0.2 per cent, while EIB, BID, and MBB lost 1.3 per cent, VPB 1.2 per cent, VCB 1.1 per cent, CTG 1 per cent, MSN 0.8 per cent, and STB 0.4 per cent.

In energy, PGD rose 6.7 per cent, PPC 3.7 per cent, PLX 2.3 per cent, NT2 1.3 per cent, and GAS 0.3 per cent, while PVD and PVT closed at their opening price.

In construction and real estate, QCG gained 7 per cent, VIC 4.7 per cent, REE 2.7 per cent, HT1 0.4 per cent, and ITA 0.3 per cent, as VRE closed at its opening price. ROS shed 6.8 per cent, CTD 2.5 per cent, DXG 1.3 per cent, FLC 1.2 per cent, and NVL 1 per cent.

The Top 5 shares bought by foreign investors were VNM (VND278 billion ($12.1 million)), VJC (VND43.3 billion ($1.9 million)), VCI (VND39.6 billion ($1.7 million)), GAS (VND23 billion ($1 million)), and VCB (VND17.1 billion ($743,478)).

CII was the largest net sold share on HSX, with VND29.9 billion ($1.3 million), followed by MSN (VND28.8 billion ($1.2 million)), HPG (VND12.7 billion ($552,173)), VIC (VND12.68 billion ($551,304)), and VHC (VND7.1 billion ($308,695)).

On HNX, VNR was the largest net sold share, with VND410.3 million ($17,839), followed by NDN (VND261.3 million ($11,360)), PVG (VND195.5 million ($8,500)), PVE (VND111 million ($4,826)), and TV2 (VND50.4 million ($2,191)).

On UPCoM, foreign investors bought 1,261,598 shares worth VND20.72 billion ($900,869).

They net bought on HSX by VND382.95 billion ($16.65 million) and on HNX by VND24.30 billion ($1,056).
