Kyoto Bank signed a corporation contract on August 24 with the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) on serving Japanese customers in Vietnam.
It is the 20th Japanese bank to come to an arrangement with BIDV.
Kyoto Bank and BIDV will cooperate in providing banking services to Japanese enterprises that are customers of Kyoto Bank and doing business in Vietnam.
The two will provide banking and financial services such as opening and managing accounts, deposits, credit and guarantees, domestic international settlements, foreign currency trading, and derivatives, among others. They will also cooperate in information provision, counseling clients on the business and investment environment in Vietnam and the legal landscape for foreign investors in the banking and financial sector, as well as provide business matching services between enterprises from the two countries.
Kyoto Bank’s total assets as at March 31 were JPY8.242.8 billion ($68.59 trillion).
