Gains finally on HSX but HNX down, except for UPCoM, on last day of month.

The VN-Index on HSX finished at 960.78 points on June 29, up 3.43 points (0.36 per cent), while the VN30-Index ended the day at 947.55 points, up 0.52 points (0.05 per cent).

On HNX, the HNX-Index closed at 106.17 points, down 0.89 points (0.83 per cent), the HNX30-Index 189.63 points, down 2.59 points (1.35 per cent), and the UPCoM-Index 51.97 points, up 0.33 points (0.63 per cent).

Liquidity on HSX was VND2.9 trillion ($125.9 million) and VND423.8 billion ($18.4 million) on HNX.

Food and beverage stocks to gain ground included BBC, SAB and TLG, by 6.4, 2.8 and 0.4 per cent, respectively, as BHN lost 5.7 per cent and KDC 1.2 per cent. VNM and VCF closed at their opening price.

Losers in banking included SSI, by 4 per cent, VPB 2.7 per cent, MBB 1.1 per cent, TCB and BVH 0.5 per cent, and CTG 0.2 per cent as TPB gained 1.9 per cent, EIB 0.7 per cent, VCI 0.6 per cent, BID 0.4 per cent and VCB 0.2 per cent. MSN, STB and SSI closed at their opening price.

In energy, PVD gained 1.5 per cent, GAS 1.4 per cent, and PVT 0.3 per cent, as PGD lost 3.4 per cent, PLX 0.8 per cent, and NT2 0.7 per cent. PPC closed at its opening price.

The Top 5 shares bought by foreign investors were DXG, VCB, GAS, CTD and VNM.

VIC was the largest net share sold on HSX, followed by HPG, MSN, VRE and CTG.

PVS was the largest net share sold on HNX, followed by DNP, CSC, PTI and TV3.

On UPCoM, foreign investors bought 85,520 shares worth VND14,81 billion ($643,975).

They net bought on HNX by VND2.77 billion ($120,445).
