UPCoM-Index the only gainer.

All main indexes on Vietnam’s stock market lost ground on June 26, with the exception of the UPCoM-Index.

The VN-Index on HSX finished at 983.02 points, down 7.50 points (0.76 per cent), while the VN30-Index ended the day at 973.90 points, down 8.19 points (0.83 per cent).

On HNX, the HNX-Index closed at 110.92 points, down 1.07 points (0.96 per cent), the HNX30-Index 198.32 points, down 2.27 points (1.13 per cent), and the UPCoM-Index 52.15 points, up 0.13 points (0.24 per cent).

Liquidity on HSX was VND2.1 trillion ($91.6 million) and VND399.6 billion ($17.4 million) on HNX.

A number of large food and beverage stocks lost ground, with VNM, KDC, VCF and SAB falling 1.8, 1.8, 1.6 and 1.2 per cent, respectively, as BHN gained 2.8 per cent. TLG, BBC and TAC closed at their opening price.

Losers in banking included BVH, by 3.1 per cent, VPB 1.7 per cent, BID 1.4 per cent, CTG 1.3 per cent, STB 1.2 per cent, MBB 1.1 per cent, EIB 1 per cent, TCB 0.9 per cent, SSI 0.8 per cent, MSN 0.6 per cent, VCB 0.2 per cent and VCI 0.1 per cent. TPB closed its opening price.

In energy, PPC gained 1.7 per cent while PGD lost 4.8 per cent, PVD 2.2 per cent, PVT and PLX 1.6 per cent, GAS 1.1 per cent, and NT2 0.5 per cent.

The Top 5 shares bought by foreign investors were KDC, HPG, BMP, SSI and DXG.

VIC was the largest net share sold on HSX, followed by CII, DIG, VNM and MSN.

VGC was the largest net share sold on HNX, followed by PLC, DNP, L14 and HDA.

On UPCoM, foreign investors bought 175,445 shares worth VND10.74 billion ($467,690).

They net sold on HSX by VND5.99 billion ($260,845) and on HNX by VND11.74 billion ($511,440).
