HNX-Index down 3.86% as losses continue on both bourses.

The VN-Index on HSX finished at 906.01 points on July 3, down 41.14 points (4.34 per cent), while the VN30-Index ended the day at 891.97 points, down 38.15 points (4.10 per cent).

On HNX, the HNX-Index closed at 98.80 points, down 3.97 points (3.86 per cent), the HNX30-Index 178.61 points, down 6.72 points (3.63 per cent), and the UPCoM-Index 49.98 points, down 0.86 points (1.69 per cent).

Liquidity on HSX was VND3.9 trillion ($168.9 million) and VND619.4 billion ($26.8 million) on HNX.

Food and beverage stocks to lose ground included BBC, TAC, KDC, SAB, VNM, VCF and TLG, by 7, 3.3, 0.9, 0.8, 0.6, 0.3 and 0.1 per cent, respectively, as BHN gained 1.6 per cent.

Losers in banking included CTG, BID, TCB, VPB and VCI, by 6.9 per cent, STB 6.8 per cent, SSI 6.2 per cent, MBB 5.6 per cent, BVH 4.5 per cent, VCB 3.6 per cent, MSN 2.6 per cent and EIB 1.4 per cent.

In energy, PPC gained 0.6 per cent as GAS lost 6.1 per cent, PLX 5.8 per cent, PVT 3.4 per cent, PVD 1.9 per cent, NT2 0.7 per cent and PGD 0.1 per cent.

The Top 5 shares bought by foreign investors were VCB, VNM, HDB, AAA and VRE.

VIC was the largest net share sold on HSX, followed by CTG, BID, STB and DIG.

SHB was the largest net share sold on HNX, followed by VGC, STP, DNP and TV3.

On UPCoM, foreign investors bought 1,427,574 shares worth VND11.60 billion ($501,970).

They net sold on HSX by VND358.72 billion ($15.5 million) and net bought on HNX by VND8.72 billion ($377,720).
