This year’s holding also honored other major brands in Vietnam, including Vinamilk, Unilever, SASCO, PNJ, BIDV, and Bao Viet. The inclusion of HDBank at the top of the national rankings demonstrates the merit of the bank’s sustainability program and its recognition by the government, ministries, committees, and industries.

According to the Organizing Committee, HDBank met all 98 rigorous criteria in the CSI. This result also confirms the effectiveness of the CSI in the bank’s operations and the fine-tuning of its business model to generate the best returns for customers, employees, shareholders, and the community, and to ensure overall sustainable prosperity.

During its 30 years of focusing on sustainable growth, HDBank has always adhered to its core values and placed customers at the heart of its operations. The bank is able to access and serve 8 million customers in the vast green ecosystem of banking, finance, retail, consumer finance, and aviation. Its products and services are designed and tailored to each customer and value chain to meet various demands based on their geographies, industries, and income levels.

It is expected to boost sustainable socioeconomic growth to meet today’s demands while ensuring opportunities for the next generation.

For years, the bank has implemented numerous green credit programs worth billions of VND for hi-tech agriculture and technology, and financed billions for solar power and roof-top power projects to promote the national renewable energy policy. HDBank is currently the leading organization in the national financial system in green credit promotion, which is its long-term strategy.

In addition, HDBank is “greening” its service quality with holistic investment in technological research and application for products and services with the aim of catching up and spearheading Industry 4.0 in banking and finance.

Recently, HDBank was the only member bank in the 2019 global TFP from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to receive the Green Deal Award.

To match its robust and sustainable growth, HDBank has established one of the most sophisticated risk management systems. It is refining its organizational structure and reviewing its risk management tools to conform to international standards. As a result, its non-performing loan ratio has been constantly kept at the industry’s best for years while its asset quality is maintained well above the industry average.

In addition to its expansion endeavors, HDBank has always expressed a special interest in the community, contributing physically and spiritually. Since 2011, it has been associated with chess, through its sponsorship of the HDBank International Chess Tournament. Since 2017, it has also supporting futsal, to elevate national futsal on the regional and global stages.

Furthermore, HDBank is also a “full house” that employees deem worth working in, as it is the only Vietnamese bank receiving successive Best Company to Work for Awards from HR Asia, in 2018 and 2019.
