HSX up, HNX down

HNX30-Index the only HNX index to rise on November 7 as the VN-Index continues to gain ground.

Main indexes on HSX rose as those on HNX, except for the HNX30-Index, fell on November 7.

On HSX, the VN-Index increased 1.24 points (0.15 per cent) and the VN30-Index 1.30 points (0.15 per cent).

On HNX, the HNX-Index lost 0.26 points (0.25 per cent), the HNX30-Index gained 0.41 points (0.21 per cent), and the UPCoM-Index lost 0.14 points (0.27 per cent).

Liquidity on HSX reached VND3.05 trillion ($132.6 million), 1.1 per cent higher than yesterday, and on HNX was VND464.3 billion ($20.2 million), 13 per cent higher.

The VN-Index opened at 850.20 points and fell to 849.03 points before ending the morning at 833.73 points. It then closed the day at 850.33 points.

In food and beverages, VCF gained 2 per cent, while BBC lost 2 per cent, KDC 0.8 per cent, and VNM 0.1 per cent. TLG and TAC closed at their opening price.

In banking, VPB increased 6.6 per cent, BID 2.3 per cent, VCB 1.9 per cent, EIB and BVH 1.8 per cent, CTG 1.4 per cent, SSI 1.1 per cent, MBB 0.9 per cent, and MSN 0.2 per cent. STB lost 1.8 per cent and VCI closed at its opening price.

In energy, MBB rose 1.5 per cent, CTG 0.5 per cent, and BVH 0.4 per cent, while VPB lost 1 per cent, MSN 0.5 per cent, SSI 0.4 per cent, and VCB 0.1 per cent. EIB, VCI, and BID closed at their opening price.

In construction and real estate, QCG gained 7 per cent, HT1 4.9 per cent, VIC 2.5 per cent, and ITA 1.2 per cent. DXG lost 1.4 per cent, CTD 1 per cent, REE 0.8 per cent, and NVL 0.3 per cent. Newcomer VRE closed at its opening price.

The Top 5 shares bought by foreign investors were VRE (VND5.5 trillion ($2.3 million)), BID (VND32.9 billion ($1.7 million)), VNM (VND28.1 billion ($1.57 million)), VIC (VND22.5 billion ($1.4 million)), and HCM (VND14.4 billion ($1 million)).

VNG was the largest net sold share on HSX, with VND28.7 billion ($1.24 million), followed by MSN (VND13 billion ($565,217)), KDC (VND6.2 billion ($269,565)), FMC (VND4 billion ($173,913)), and DRC (VND2.3 billion ($100,000)).

On HNX, WCS was the largest net sold share, with VND602.8 million ($26,208), followed by PVX (VND382.2 million ($16,617)), SHB (VND329 million ($14,304)), TAG (VND233.8 million ($10,165)), and PVE (VND204 million ($8,869)).

On UPCoM, foreign investors bought 1,331,195 shares worth VND30.71 billion ($1.3 million).

They net bought on HSX by VND5.7 trillion ($247.8 million) and on HNX by VND2.55 billion ($110,869).
