VN30-Index alone in rising

Other indexes lose ground on August 11.

All indexes on Vietnam’s stock market lost ground on August 11, with the exception of the VN30-Index.

On HSX, the VN-Index fell 1.35 points (0.17 per cent) while the VN30-Index rose 1.57 points (0.21 per cent).

On HNX, the HNX-Index lost 0.11 points (0.11 per cent), the HNX30-Index 0.05 points (0.03 per cent), and the UPCoM-Index 0.01 points (0.02 per cent).

Liquidity on HSX reached VND2.8 trillion ($121.7 million), 4.1 per cent lower than yesterday, and on HNX was VND436 billion ($18.9 million), 22.4 per cent lower.

The VN-Index opened at 773.43 points and fell to 769.33 points before ending the morning at 773.7 points. It then closed the day at 772.08 points.

In food and beverages, VCF rose 5.1 per cent and KDC 0.2 per cent while TAC lost 2.6 per cent, BCC 2.1 per cent, and TLG 0.5 per cent as VNM closed at its opening price.

In banking, CTG increased 2.4 per cent and MSN 0.5 per cent, while BVH lost 0.9 per cent, VCB 0.7 per cent, SSI 0.6 per cent, and MBB and EIB 0.4 per cent, while BID, STB, and VCI closed at their opening price.

In energy, PGD gained 5.9 per cent while PVT lost 2.8 per cent, GAS 2.7 per cent, PVD 1.6 per cent, and PLX 1.1 per cent. NT2 closed at its opening price.

In construction and real estate, VIC increased 0.7 per cent, ROS 0.6 per cent, and KBC 0.3 per cent. QCG lost 6.8 per cent, NVL 2 per cent, ITA 1.4 per cent, DXG 1.1 per cent, CTD and REE 0.8 per cent, HT1 0.6 per cent, and FLC 0.4 per cent.

The Top 5 shares bought by foreign investors were BHS (VND32.5 billion ($1.4 million)), SBT (VND31.5 billion ($1.3 million)), BID (VND12.6 billion ($547,826)), HPG (VND11.2 billion ($486,956)), and CTG (VND9.6 billion ($417,391)).

On HSX, FIT was the largest net sold share, with VND20.8 billion ($904,347), followed by SSI (VND9.6 billion ($417,391)), NVL (VND3.4 billion ($147,826)), VNM (VND3 billion ($130,434)), and ROS (VND2.4 billion ($104,347)).

PVS was the largest net sold share on HNX, with VND7.7 billion ($334,782), followed by HUT (VND278.1 million ($12,091)), CVT (VND275.2 million ($11,965)), TEG (VND261.8 million ($11,382)), and VIX (VND247.9 million ($10,778)).

On UPCoM, foreign investors bought 328,400 shares worth VND4.52 billion ($196,521).

They net bought on HSX by VND92.96 billion ($4 million) and net sold on HNX by VND3.43 billion ($149,130).
